Do you use these?
I do and I love them!
It's sometimes so nice to just grab a wipe and clean up a quick mess.
I have one in almost every room, but they really aren't that cute if you don't have a place to stow it (like I kept one on an open shelf in my family room). So I decided to spruce some up.
You have to search a little to find the colors you like.
(The black ones I got in the automotive section).
And when you need to refill, just empty out a new container and put it in your cute one!
So here's how to make one:

3) Measure around and add 1/2 inch for seam allowance
11) Let dry for a day or two. Longer if it still feels a little sticky.
It will dry clear leaving the fabric a nice plasticy luster.
12) Your'e done!
Now you can keep it out and it won't be an eye soar.
Like here in my "no cupboards" bathroom
And in the kitchen

How bright and colorful those turned out! They really do look so much cuter with the fabric on them.
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting two giveaways and would love it if you stopped by! You can win an organic onesie or a make your own book kit.
This is a great idea! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about a non-sewing option using stitch witchery? I think you could even go so far as just using random scraps to make a quilted pattern effect. You might have to use a little double sided scrapbooking tape to get them to stick at first. Have GOT to try this!
ReplyDeleteI love them. With kids you always need so many wipes. Just love the idea.

ReplyDeleteYour blog is so great! Following! Might I ask if you could help me in getting some followers of my own? I just started a blog, similar to yours with crafts, tips, recipes etc. I called it "After the Kids Go To Bed MOMents" since it feels like the only time I can get blogging or have any "me time" is after my kids are asleep!

Very cute! However you can do this MUCH faster with patterned shelf/drawer liner!
ReplyDeleteI made one of these but instead of sewing the edges I used fabric glue it worked great!!
