I wish I had a green thumb!

Tweet This
This year I am going to plant a garden! I've tried before and have failed.
I'm a plant killer!

The sprinklers weren't working and I didn't have a long enough hose so I had to manually water it with  heavy buckets. That was no fun. And I only lasted a week.

But this year we fixed the sprinklers and got a better hose so now no more excuses! So I will try again.

I'm new at this. So for starters I decided to do potted herbs.
Hopefully I won't kill these.

To make it fun , and to match my kitchen, I found these bright colored pots.

Then labeled them with vinyl. (I'm on a labeling kick right now).

I just planted the herbs (and grape tomatoes)  that
I use most often in my cooking.

Then set them in my window.

Hopefully they'll live long enough for me to enjoy!

Oh and here is more cute potted herbs by Jen at Scissors and Spatulas.

The idea inspired me so I just had to share.

  7. Hey did you use Cricut or another machine? If it's a Cricut, what font is that? I really like it and might need to add it to my collection. :)

  9. I did use a Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook font on tall. I think it was a cartridge that came with the Cricut when I first got it.

  11. That "plant killer" gene comes from me, your mom, however it must have come down through Grandpa Glines, because Grandma had a great green thumb.

I love the colors and the herbs baby doll!

    Love ya, Mom
